Trane Technologies applauds the U.S. administration’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50 percent from 2005 levels by 2030. This ambitious target is necessary to limit global warming to 1.50C in alignment with the Paris Climate Agreement, and positions the U.S. as a world leader addressing rising carbon emissions.
We are proud that the U.S. pledge mirrors our own commitment to reduce emissions from our products and services by nearly 50 percent by the year 2030. This science-based target supports our Gigaton Challenge, a commitment to remove one gigaton of carbon emissions from our customers’ footprints by 2030.
We urge government and industry to take action on three fronts to accelerate climate solutions:
Trane Technologies, a sector leader of the We Mean Business Coalition, continues our work on next generation solutions and innovating to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. Our ambitious 2030 Sustainability Commitments, including the Gigaton Challenge, Leading by Example through carbon neutral operations, and ensuring Opportunity for All, are grounded in our courage to take bold action for sustainability.
Join us in our relentless pursuit of challenging what's possible for a brighter climate future.
